Phoebe Sumter

Phoebe Health is a growing healthcare system providing services to 41 counties in rural southwest Georgia. The second largest of the campuses is Phoebe Sumter, located in Americus, Georgia. It is a handsome campus that was fully rebuilt following a tornado in 2007. The community in Americus now enjoys a strong relationship with the overall Phoebe community while remaining proud of the longstanding and very positive reputation of their community medical center.

Outcomes

  • Phoebe Sumter follows the brand guidelines established by the Phoebe Health System, but with a particular emphasis placed on local stories, local people, and the history of the area. Heurista has worked with the Phoebe Sumter Foundation to develop graphics that work well with the physical displays and large digital screen found in the primary patient and visitor waiting area.

  • The Phoebe Sumter Foundation maintains a loop of digital content specific to their community. The information is presented on a screen in the main lobby. The content is managed in Philanthrosphere® under shared licensing with the Phoebe Foundation in Albany, Georiga. This is an excellent example of how PSLoop, the digital content app, can be used to meet the needs of multiple screens spread across one or more campuses.

  • Digital content is easy to update, allowing for presentations that coincide with key events.

  • Phoebe Sumter uses the digital display to provide volunteer recognition.

  • Recognition within the digital presentation can be easily updated and include a variety of information.

  • The digital storytelling makes it easy to report the impact of giving to those visiting the medical center.
